Andy Weidl covers schools in the West for the Ravens. Andy evaluates players from the Pac-10, Mountain West and Sunbelt conferences. Over the past 3 years since he joined the team, Weidl has also been assigned the wideout position, viewing tape on and ranking all the receivers considered “draftable” by the Ravens.

2000-2004: (with New Orleans) 2003-04: Was Saints Northeast area scout, covering mainly Big East and ACC schools. 2000-02: Joined New Orleans as its National Combine Scout.
1998-99: (with Pittsburgh) Spent 2 years as a player personnel assistant for the Steelers...Assisted in evaluating both college and professional players.
COLLEGE: Was a 4-year starter as an O-lineman at Villanova, while earning his degree in communications (1996) and while taking graduate courses...Received master’s in human organizational science (1997)...Awarded Thomas J. Burke Award for “most consistent performance and dedication” at Villanova.
PERSONAL: Worked as a sports reporter covering high school athletics for CN8 in Philadelphia (1997) before entering the NFL scouting ranks...Also served as a CN8 analyst for HS football games...The Pittsburgh native attended Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA) HS and currently resides in Phoenix, AZ.
